Our Story
Meet Michael
My name is Michael Oliva. I come from a family of builders — construction has always been part of my life. From an early age, I was on job sites learning the craft, attention to detail, and pride that go into quality work. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for reliability, craftsmanship, and strong relationships with clients.
My family and I made the move to the Outer Banks to enjoy the beaches that we love and ended up within a community of great friends and consistent work.
Our Beginning
Building is in my blood — I grew up learning the trade from my family, and I carry those same values of hard work and craftsmanship into every project. From helping flip houses to laboring on large government construction jobs, I've been doing this in one way, shape, or form my whole life. I always wanted to be my own boss, so in 2022 Oliva Contracting was born!
Meet the Team
The Job-site supervisor and the face behind my logo, She runs a tight ship. Works for pizza crust. Only weakness is surplus of sleeping on the job. While short-term help comes and goes with the seasons, the OG crew stays the same.
Lifestyle
I moved to the Outer Banks to combine my two passion for construction with a laid back beach environment. This community inspires me to build spaces that fit our island way of life, and if you can't find me at a job site I'm either on the golf course or there's some swell.
